When I first saw this recipe I knew there was NO WAY this would be bad. Really easy to make, really easy to eat. Paleo and vegan friendly, gluten and dairy free..low fat? No, but all you need is a little slice, oh and it goes good with wine.
Last night as I was eating these three ingredients separately, I said to Shane, “wouldn’t chocolate covered strawberries rolled in chopped macadamia nuts be amazing?” He agreed but he wasn’t nearly as excited as he should have been, I mean is it too much to ask for a little jumping up and down when I come up with something special? And these my friends are special!
A recipe is not needed for these, it’s pretty self explanatory..am I right? I hope so..
Melt some DARK chocolate and yes it needs to be dark, milk chocolate is only OK when you have no dark chocolate around and are in dire need of chocolate. White chocolate is not chocolate and should not be called chocolate.
Alright, now that I cleared that up, grab some strawberries and wash them while leaving the stem on. Dip them in the melted chocolate and roll them in chopped macadamia nuts. You can use roasted salted, roasted unsalted or whatever your heart desires.
Let them cool on some foil or parchment paper in the fridge until you are ready to devour these babies. I am pretty sure they would go very well with chilled glass of Prosecco too. Just saying.
