First time Trick-or-Treating.
Christmas in Walla Walla.
2. I like rice crispy treats as much as the next girl, but I never make them or crave them for that matter. That has now changed. These Salted Crispy treats look pretty darn yummy.
3. Wise words at any age.
4. This is a great idea for New Years Eve or a wedding or a party or Monday night at ours. Come on over!

5. Whole Roasted Tandoori Cauliflower with mint chutney. This my friends, is going to be good, I know it.
6. I am all for children having books, real books made out of paper. But some of us travel and don’t want to carry a crap load of heavy books in our bags. This website has over 200 children’s books to read online.
7. This made me laugh because I was like “what, I don’t get….oh! HAHA” Then I was thankful for having a tan year round.
7. I received a new cookbook a few weeks ago and I haven’t wanted to make so many recipes out of one book in a long time. Her style of cooking really appeals to me and my palate. This cake is one of the many delicious things you can find inside.

8. A super simple creative art activity for the holidays. You can be sure we Kaili will be doing this soon.
9. Although the grammar is atrocious, well played yogurt.
10. Yes, another cauliflower recipe. I eat a lot more of it these days, it’s just so versatile and good. I have never seen it prepared this way and with the fresh pomegranate. Looks. SO. Delicious.

This is the first year that I have EVER gone out in public on black Friday. Ok maybe that isn’t true but it was the first time I ever battled the mall, good lord.
We parked about a mile away from the mall and walked off some of our Thanksgiving meal, which by the way was fantastic if I do say so myself. Shane and I whipped up some pretty awesome food. We splurged on a free-range organic turkey which was absolutley divine. It was cooked perfectly, perfectly seasoned and just perfectly perfect.
The mall was as crowded as we imagined it would be but Shane was able to get a great deal or some clothes. Kaili and I hit up the kids play area while he waited in line.
After doing some damage at a few stores we went back home and continued shopping online. I can’t wait to show you my Christmas present!
Our neighbors across the street just put up their Christmas lights {over achievers} now the pressure is on to get into the holiday spirit. I am trying to expose Kaili to Santa Claus via pictures and videos. Something is telling me pictures aren’t going to go as smooth as they did last year.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

We had our block party Saturday and it was such a fun time. A lot of our neighbors showed up, we had tons of great food and live music from my next door neighbors band.
I made these chocolate chip cookies. They were very good and the recipe makes a ton, so now I have a lot of frozen cookie dough for the future. I also made a greek dip. The original recipe had it as a 7 layer greek dip but to make things easier on myself I combined all the ingredients beside the hummus and tzatziki before hand .The flavors got to hang out and be merry for a few hours and then I just tossed it on top, it was delish. I doubled the recipe and served with pita bread.
Kaili had a fun time mingling with new people, feeding the dogs pita bread and dancing to the music. She also met a little friend from our street who played with her, oh and she took some solo steps. The time is coming soon and we will have ourselves a walker.

Over all the block party was a success. I met a bunch of great people and one potential baby sitter.

Saturday we went out to the Olympic training center in Chula Vista, aka Wag’s home. It was buzzing with BMX Olympians and loads of their fans to watch the Olympic trials. I wasn’t even aware that BMX was a sport in the Olympics, shows you what I know.

It was a pretty big ordeal and fun to see. There were skydivers and the band Buck-O-Nine played in between the trials.

We didn’t get to stay to see the finals because the little Miss needed dinner and things were running behind schedule. 19-year-old Connor Fields took home the trophy and landed a spot on the US Olympic team and will compete in London next month.

On Sunday or should I say Father’s day Shane, Kaili and I drove up to Irvine. Shane got to spend the day with his babe and I took my parents to see the Galaxy take on Portland.
I love soccer. Even though the Galaxy hasn’t been on a winning streak lately they did pull out a win this time. Half of the team is either injured or playing on their national team in Europe so it was mostly second string players. Beckham showed up and played very well but it was our goalie who saved the game.
Back to Father’s day. Kaili made Shane a little gift, don’t you love it?
Happy Father’s Day!

Forget all my kid stuff for a minute. Let’s talk about why we are going to London in a few months!
My husband and David Wagner have been friends since grade school but Shane didn’t know that David would be a world class athlete.
In 1996 David suffered a life changing accident at the beach in LA that left him paralyzed.
After the accident there were years of struggle, but eventually he found his way back to a passion.
After 4 Paralympic medals in wheelchair tennis, he is headed to the London Paralympics and we will be there to cheer him on.
Here short video of David. This was made back in January as he was preparing for the Australian open.
He most recently started a free wheelchair tennis camp for disabled children. It took place June 9th in Portland Oregon, David said he had an amazing time with the kids.
I have come across some pretty clever tricks to help with some every day PITA things.
